As part of the Infrastructure team, you will help us with administering, troubleshooting and the general life-cycle management of all IT equipment used by the company. This includes (Linux) servers in various data-centres across the world, switches, routers, storage devices, (Windows) workstations and everything else required to run our day-to-day business.

By getting your hands dirty, you will learn how to manage, and gain practical experience working with physical networking, server and desktop equipment at a company where success relies heavily on the performance of the IT infrastructure. 

Collaborating with the seniors in the team, you work carefully and diligently to ensure a lean and well-monitored environment.

Your work will mainly consist of

• Learning about the trading domain, our systems, and what is needed from IT perspective to run a competitive trading firm
• Collaborating closely with the senior members of the team
• Ordering, installing, upgrading, supporting and troubleshooting all equipment in our IT infrastructure, on premises and in remote data centers
• Installing and configuring operating systems and tooling on workstations and servers
• Improving our tools to monitor and manage all components in our infrastructure

Who are you?

• Studying in or around Amsterdam for a Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science, electrical engineering, infrastructure or related studies
  
• Eager, curious and fast learner
  
• Deep interest in networking, hardware, OSes (Windows, Linux) and databases (SQL, Mongo, …)
  
• Scripting skills (e.g. bash, python)
  
• Availability to work at least 4 hours/week during office hours
