Your role
We are looking for a Compliance Officer in Amsterdam to further strengthen and expand our Compliance Department. The Compliance Officer reports directly to the Board of WEBB Traders and works closely with traders, risk, supervisors and our clearing bank.
As a Compliance Officer at WEBB Traders, you are responsible for promoting compliance with internal and external regulations intended to safeguard the integrity of our management and employees. This includes closely following regulatory developments and implementing these into the organisation where needed, drafting policies and keeping these up to date, providing regular internal Compliance training in Amsterdam and Paris, and providing the Board with compliance advice both at their request and at your own initiative.
Key responsibilities
Board advisor on Compliance matters
First contact person for supervisors and branch organisations
Implementing new rules and regulations and drafting internal policies
Follow up on incidents
Compliance monitoring and Compliance year report
Market Surveillance
Provide compliance awareness sessions for the organisation
Dealing with internal compliance issues and questions of employees
Information request from venues, supervisors and brokers
Who are you
You have a compelling communication style, verbally able to work closely with traders, compliance and management and not afraid to speak up your mind
Cooperative and persuasive to various stakeholders, such as traders, clearing members, risk and IT / development
Minimum Master degree in Law, Finance, Economics
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably with leadership experience in financial markets, asset management or bank (preferably trading)
A true interest in finance and trading and knowledge of financial instruments
Quality and accuracy are your basic standards
Eager to drive the work in a fast-paced environment
Mind-set on innovation and continuous improvement
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and written
You follow the developments in European legislation closely
